VISION OPEN AIR @ EX-MACELLO ILARIO ALICANTE presents L/NK

There are moments that mark the beginning of a season, Events meaning a transition: from anticipation to action, from indoor spaces to the open air, from the idea of spring to the full dimension of summer. For the third consecutive year, this moment coincides with Vision Open Air, which opens its 2026 season on May Friday 1st, in the spaces of the ex Macello Milano. This series of events featuring the best of international djing has become a benchmark in Italy and internationally for the lead-up to summer and the opening of electronic open-air calendars.

2026 will be the third and final season of Vision Open Air at the ex Macello; after the summer, the area will continue its urban redevelopment program. In recent years, Vision Open Air has made a concrete contribution to restoring centrality and revitalization to a symbolic space in the city, demonstrating how cultural and musical planning can trigger real processes of transformation and regeneration. In 2027, Vision Open Air will begin a new chapter, a new story.

May 2026 Friday 1st main character will be Ilario Alicante and his concept LINK, a project that focuses on the relationship between artist and audience as a structural element. Alongside with Ilario Alicante, Max Dean, White Off, and Michele Arcieri.

LINK is an audiovisual concept based on the idea of dynamic connection. Its fulcrum is the graphic symbol “/,” present in L/NK and ILARIO/ALICANTE: an essential element representing not a separation, but a point of transition. The symbol becomes a physical presence in the space, orienting the stage and dance floor, and visualizing a bidirectional flow of energy. The artist generates momentum, the audience receives and amplifies it, in a continuous exchange that defines the very identity of the event. Not a decorative scenography, but a visual device that translates the tension between sound, body, and space into form.

Ilario Alicante‘s relationship with Vision Open Air is longstanding and has strengthened year after year, resulting in one of his signature sets in a calendar that has long seen him perform at the world’s best clubs and festivals; last year’s winner of DJ Mag’s Best of British and founder of the NEXUP RECZ label, Max Dean has quickly gone from promising young talent to established DJ. White Off explores every nuance of electronic music in his sets, while also exploring variations on the theme and blending it with other musical genres. Michele Arcieri has always been able to seamlessly transition between deep, minimal, and techno, and his sets always stand out.

With this first event on May 1st, Vision Open Airrenews its symbolic role in the openings of the open-air season, confirming its position as one of the moments that can distinctively characterize the countdown to summer.
